Wearing:

• Red 1960's patent t-strap shoes, eBay.

This is what I wore for most of sweltering Thursday - i could have easily lounged about all day in my underwear, but instead, i opted for a 1950's bathing suit & red lipstick. I added the skirt - which is actually covered in paint - when I had to venture out into the world for an hour to drop off forms and do boring errand-y nonsense.
I changed into this outfit during the afternoon to go to a friend's farewell picnic - the dress is actually one part of a three-piece 1930's circus costume. i didn't realise until much later that it is actually designed to flash one's undies when one bends over ... I then tried not to bend over for the rest of the night. It was a really lovely farewell, with plenty of wine, cake, sour cherry & sherry punch served in beakers, and a game of 'duck duck goose' in which I was accidentally tackled. Fun!!
